Derek Zeman, PSM | President
With 37 years of Surveying Experience in Florida, Derek began his career on a survey crew after graduating high school. Quickly progressing to Crew Chief and then Field Crew Supervisor, he earned his Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper (PSM) license in 1996 and Texas Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) license in 2012. Derek has managed all phases of survey projects for both public and private sector clients, specializing in transportation, design surveys, subsurface utilities, and Mobile LiDAR. He is currently responsible for Business Development, providing expert witness testimony, and overall company management in addition to his day-to-day responsibilities.
Lee Powers, PSM | Vice President
Lee graduated from Purdue University in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying & Geomatics Engineering and has been surveying in South Florida for the last 19 years. Lee has performed Construction Stakeout and As-builts, Right of Way Mapping, Geodetic Control, ALTA/NSPS, Boundary, Topographic (both acreage and coastal) and Route/Design surveys. He has extensive Project Management experience for large-scale projects and continuing service type contracts for both public and private sector clients. He is knowledgeable in the use of a wide range of state-of-the-art surveying equipment, methods and technologies with a particular focus on static, mobile & aerial LiDAR and GIS.
Eric Detassis, PSM | Vice President
Eric brings over 20 years of land surveying and project management experience in the field and office. He brings thorough knowledge of principles and procedures of ALTA, Topographic, Horizontal and Vertical Control, Boundary/Right-of-Way, Construction, Sectional, Static/Mobile LiDAR projects and NGS high order leveling. Clients have consisted of private Land Developers (Minto Communities), Counties, Cities, State Agencies (Florida Department of Environmental Protection, FDOT (Districts 2, 4, 6, 7 and Florida’s Turnpike), Drainage Districts (Lake Worth Drainage Districts and South Florida Water Management District), Seaports (Port Everglades, Port of Miami, Port of Palm Beach) and Power Utility Companies (Florida Power & Light and Florida Keys Electric Cooperative).
Michael Ross, PSM | Vice President
Michael Ross brings over 38 years of experience in all facets of professional surveying and mapping operations, including project management, new business development, financial oversight, and operational management. Michael’s professional experience includes transportation design surveys, boundary surveys, topographic surveys, right-of-way mapping, utility locating and mapping, and construction survey support for various DOT Districts and public and private sector clients throughout Florida, North Carolina, and the Northeast. Professionally licensed in FL, GA, NC, MA, CT, RI, and NJ, and a member of the Florida Surveying and Mapping Society, Massachusetts Association of Land Surveyors and Civil Engineers, and the National Society of Professional Surveyors.
