SUE Crew Chief
Responsibilities:
Oversees the day-to-day SUE Crew operations
Provides underground utility designation with proficiency utilizing GPR, electromagnetic equipment and other geophysical means
Designates all utility line types of conductive or non-conductive materials including: water, sewer, gas, electric, fiber optic, PVC, and all other underground facilities
Marks utilities with flags and/or paint and produce a sketch of results for future use by the client
Oversees and trains individuals to operate GPR and electromagnetic equipment
Conducts daily maintenance and up-keep of instruments
Oversees maintenance of equipment, supplies and vehicle
Candidate must be able to work in a team environment and also be willing to work independently, on occasion
Survey Crew Chief
Responsibilities:
Directs and conducts field surveys for projects (Boundary, Topographic, Route/Design, ALTA/NSPS Surveys, etc.)
Proficient in operating surveying equipment and data collectors/platforms
Identifies hazardous situations and applies company safety procedures
Professional communication with clients, contractors, teammates, etc.
Provides clear and concise field notes including sketches
Motivate, train, & lead crew & staff members on proper field procedures
Ensures surveys are compliant with applicable laws, rules, and regulations
Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned
Survey Instrument Operator
Responsibilities:
Responsible for assisting Survey Crew Chief with all field operations
Operate survey total station, GPS and level instruments
Responsible for equipment maintenance and batteries being charged on a daily basis
Responsible for keeping survey truck well stocked with survey supplies, cleaned and organized;
Assist with survey file processing and field calculations
Record survey data in field books and / or data collector
Maintain field equipment in a clean and secure manner
Perform pre–start vehicle checks to ensure operability, maintenance and safety
